Residents Displaced By Long Valley Apartment Fire

Several residents were displaced by a fire that damaged a Washington Township apartment complex earlier this week, authorities said.

Firefighters responding to the Peachtree Apartments in Long Valley found smoke inside of a first-floor apartment on Thursday, March 10 around 8:10 p.m., police said.

Adjacent buildings were evacuated as crews battled the blaze, which rose to a second alarm.

The fire was contained to the apartment of origin. No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross responded to help those residents who were displaced.

This fire is under investigation by the Washington Township Police Department.
